Peugeot calls pitch for digital account

Peugeot has kicked off a review of its digital advertising account with a view to expanding its roster of agencies.

The car manufacturer has asked several roster and non-roster agencies to submit tenders for all online activity across Peugeot's range of models.

Marie-Laure Hawes, a senior buyer in the company's procurement department, is handling the process.

She said: "We have contacted a number of agencies with tenders, but it is just market research at this stage."

In 2004, Peugeot Citroen appointed an extensive roster of agencies to work on digital marketing across the two car marques.

The full-service roster includes AKQA, Euro RSCG 4D and MRM Worldwide. The design roster includes BD Network and E3.

Clark McKay & Walpole also handles some digital activity for the brand as part of the direct marketing account it won in December last year. The agency triumphed after a five-way pitch that included the incumbent, EHS Brann.

In May, Peugeot launched its biggest-ever online campaign to promote its Peugeot 207 model via a partnership with MSN.
