John Allwood, Orange UK's executive vice-president, has been poached by the Telegraph Group for the new role of executive director. He will report to chief executive Murdoch MacLennan and will be responsible for the group's transformation under the Barclay brothers. Allwood has been replaced at Orange UK by Bernhard Ghillebaert, former chief executive of Mobistar.
