Patak's extends pitch to media as it aims to lead Indian food market

LONDON - Patak's is reviewing its £1m media buying business as it gears up to boost its budget. The company is seeking to become the UK's top supplier of Indian convenience food.

Starcom UK, Initiative and incumbent agency Media-Vest Manchester have been shortlisted. Pitches will begin after the May Bank Holiday, with a decision expected by the end of the month.

A decision on Patak's ad review, being handled by the AAR, is expected at the same time. Saatchi & Saatchi, FCB London, BDH\TBWA and Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest are shortlisted.

Patak's spent nearly £1m on advertising in 2004. The brief covers its range of sauces, meals and breads.
