Hilton has already filmed the spot for burger chain Carl's Jr, which was created by the Los Angeles ad agency Mendelsohn/Zien. In it, she is shown soaping a car, with hoses suggestively shooting water everywhere. It ends with her eating a bite of burger and saying "That's hot".
However, there are concerns that the ad will not be able to be shown in the US, particularly in the era of new austerity that came in the wake of the 2004 Janet Jackson "nipplegate" scandal, which has seen broadcasters clamp down on programmes and ads that are aired.
Carl's Jr is unlikely to be worried by the controversy because it primarily targets young men with products including the Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger, or, for the more diet conscious, the Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich.
Hilton is came to global fame for a homemade sex video that have made its way on to the internet and eventually to DVD release, in the form of 'One Night in Paris'.
She was also the star of the MTV series 'The Simple Life' along with fellow Hollywood wildchild Nicole Richie. However, the pair have fallen out and Richie's place in the next series will be taken by Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberley.
There are more than 1,000 Carl's Jr restaurants, located mainly in the western US. The chain was started more than 60 years ago, and is now owned by CKE Restaurants, which also owns the Hardee's chain.
The chain has been in trouble for controversial advertising before, particularly for a showing a woman putting her whole fist in her mouth to promote a hamburger that contains a pound of meat.
The voiceover on the ad says: "How do you know if you can eat the largest double burger in the country? There's one way to find out."
