Tesco advertises the Coronation Street anniversary album, exclusive to its stores, while Sainsbury’s advertises DVD offers.

The Sun offers a free Narnia Christmas pack worth £30 to its readers, while Toshiba joins forces with LoveFilm and Odeon to offer rewards for shoppers buying a laptop or TV.

Ikea advertises folding tables and extra chairs in a full-page ad in The Sun, hoping families will be stocking up to get more relatives around the table for Christmas dinner.

Tiffany & Co is on the cover of The Daily Telegraph advertising its signature key necklace design, and Hermes Paris takes out a full-page ad in The Independent to promote its Terre D’Hermes fragrance for men.

Travelodge, meanwhile, advertises deals on hotel rooms over the Christmas period.
