The Nintendo DS Professor Layton and the Lost Future game - the third in a series around the character - is advertised across the press following TV ads for the game console.

Warner Bros promotes its advance box office for the penultimate Harry Potter release, with tickets available a month before the film hits screens.

Channel 4 advertises its new drama The Event, which airs tonight. The series has had heavy TV promotion and is promoted in a run of full-page ads across today's papers.

Phones 4u promises "out-of-this-world deals" with offers on the new Nokia smartphone.

Royal Bank of Scotland tells Independent readers that "Lunch hours are for lunch", and suggests banking on Saturdays after extending the hours of 90 branches.

Baxters promises "no artificial flavours, preservatives or colours" in its soups, with a full-page ad in The Times and a quarter-page ad in The Guardian.

Finally, The Co-operative promotes its use of British wheat, reminding readers it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Asda, meanwhile, offers weekend deals on spirits.
