Garnier mentions its Stylist skincare award for its eye roll-on product in an ad in The Independent. Npower meanwhile says "thank you" for its Energy Awards Consumer Supplier of the Year 2010 award.

Tesco also highlights a recent award in its press ads, boasting a ‘supermarket of the year’ ribbon from the Retail Industry Awards.

Eurostar takes out a full page in The Independent to picture a tulip-filled view of Amsterdam as it highlights return journeys via Brussels from £89 and Lufthansa airlines promotes European flights for reduced prices in The Times.

Sony advertises "the worlds first 3D sweep panorama camera" demonstrating its capabilities with a horizontal picture of air balloons.

M&S is now in the full swing of its Christmas press campaign. In a series of consecutive ads in The Daily Telegraph it showcases its range of children’s toys, suggesting a "bigger stocking" while highlighting its lingerie range as a gift for ladies and then suggesting an early order for specialty Christmas foods. The department store runs similar ads across all of the papers.

Argos advertises half-price fireworks in the run-up to Bonfire Night and Wickes advertises up to 33% off home inprovements.
