Lloyds TSB gives ‘80,000 reasons’ why it’s serious about "helping new businesses open". Barclaycard is also targeting businesses offering reduced card transaction payments for three months.

The Daily Mirror runs extracts from entrepreneur Alan Sugar’s autobiography as well as giving away a loaf of bread through Netto stores and historical maps of readers' local areas.

Meanwhile The Sun has access to the second autobiography from comic and actor Russell Brand, and will continue its coverage of the new release through out the week.

The Daily Mail includes vouchers for another Cliff Richard classic film as part of its seven day giveaway and the Daily Express offers the chance to win a motor home.

Moneysupermarket runs a press campaign promising an "average saving of £234 on car insurance" as it attempts to stand out in a crowded sector.   

Virgin Trains runs a press ad showing ‘zombiefied’ drivers caught in traffic, urging "don’t go zombie, go Virgin".

Greener Journeys encourages drivers to take the bus every once in a while to reduce emissions. Oxfam also spreads the climate change message with a campaign asking for donations to help dig wells.

HMV takes a different approach than usual in an ad in The Independent, highlighting films from its world cinema collection rather than competing on the price of new releases.
