Specsavers and Boots go head to head with ads for hearing aids and services. Specsavers pushes its hearing tests, promising "Hearing aids should be high in quality, not in price" with an ad in The Daily Telegraph and The Sun.

Boots opts for an ad in the Daily Mail offering half-price hearing aids and promising no VAT increases.

Specsavers also highlights how its digital retinal photography comes as part of its standard eye test, claiming Boots charges an extra £10 for the test, with a full page in The Guardian.

Stannah advertises its stair lifts in The Daily Telegraph, setting out its customer promises on products, service and value.

Tesco directly targets Asda’s latest Price Guarantee offer, picturing "a trolley-load of reasons to challenge the Asda Price Guarantee". The ads appear in the Daily Mail, The Sun and the Daily Mirror.

The Daily Mirror ties up with Superdrug to offer free beauty products across the week.

The Times continues its "eat out for £5" offer while the Daily Mail gives away the first series of 'Upstairs Downstairs' on DVD.
