Asda’s George clothing brand takes out an ad in The Sun highlighting 25% off ‘jeans and jeggings’ while Tesco is offering £5 off its clothing range and a third off ladies boots.
The Daily Mail has teamed up with Debenhams to offer 20% off while M&S takes out an ad with the paper, featuring its latest brand ambassador Dannii Minogue.
Sainsbury’s meanwhile is offering hal- price hardback books while Waterstone’s also goes in with a half-price offer. Both highlight Stephen Fry’s latest biographical release.
McDonalds uses the strapline "we don’t know how to write a No.1 best seller, but we do know how to make a brilliant burger" in a press ad across the tabloids, while over in the US the fast food giant is which plays on its ‘I’m loving it’ tagline to raise awareness of obesity related diseases.
Charity Kids Company takes out a cryptic ad in The Independent and The Sun showing colourful name tags including on for Helen Mirren and Richard Branson. The ad then simply says 'Search: Kids’ Peace of Mind'.
Meanwhile Holiday Inn tells readers to "stay picky" with an ad in The Independent promoting a choice of pillows for guests.
