Press ads announcing "Sky 3D. Now in your living room" run across today’s papers following TV ads which support a wider campaign. The channel is available to Sky customers already subscribing to HD services.

Sony uses the launch to push the latest model of its TVs, advertising in The Times with the strapline "the perfect excuse to upgrade your old TV". Tesco, Comet and Argos are also promoting deals on flat screens.

The National Lottery runs ads across the tabloids tempting readers to enter its "mega jackpot draw" of £82m.

HMV advertises its latest sale, including Blu-ray discs at reduced price, and House of Fraser also advertises its sale, offering up to 25% off for two days.

Primal Scream release tour dates across the UK, with an ad on the cover of the Independent directing fans to the gigsandtours.com booking site.
