Inside the monochrome biscuit boutique was an overabundance of quaint and finely-finished decorated biscuits – from butterflies and champagne bottles, to its trademark Jolly Gingers gingerbread men.
The biscuit icing café, tucked away downstairs, was where expert biscuit decorator Lorena and her right-hand woman Louisa were waiting as guests arrived. They settled themselves around a decorating table covered in plain biscuits shaped as presents, fireplaces, reindeers, Santa Clauses and sleighs. 
The biscuit icing party began with a lesson on icing techniques for straight lines and curves, using miniature piping bags filled with red, green, gold and white icing. After the skill had been - almost - mastered, guests moved on to the biscuits, creating colourful outlines on each baked treat and then flooding them with icing.
Professional biscuit decorator Lorena demonstrated the next level of icing techniques, creating a feathered pattern, which Biscuiteers use for butterly wings. She also showed simpler tricks to jazz up the biscuits. This included creating a series of dots evenly spaced, and then dragging a thin wooden stick through the middle of each one to create a heart pattern.
Throughout the party, a selection of freshly prepared canapés were supplied by Lettice's Just Deliver service, including pink rice paper rollers with sesame chicken, holy basil and soy; crostini with British beef carpaccio and truffle oil; and mini choux with Roquefort cream and toasted walnuts.
Wrapping up the two-hour session, party guests were handed Christmas-themed biscuit tins to keep their creations safe, as well as a goody bag containing Biscuiteers' first book, Biscuiteers Book of Icing Biscuits, and a branded apron.

A minimum of six, and up to ten participants in Biscuiteers Boutique Biscuit Icing Café. Private icing parties can be held in the boutique or at your chosen location for larger team-building or corporate events.
