PA signs on to Setanta Sports News

LONDON - The Press Association's sports unit has signed a two-year deal with Setanta Sports News producer ITN to provide data such as live scores and results.

The deal covers sports including domestic and international football, golf, cricket, tennis, rugby union, rugby league and F1 racing.

PA Sport's sister companies - PA Photos and PA Group - will provide ITN with stills and weather forecasts, respectively, for Setanta Sports News.

The 24-hour sports news channel launched free-to-air on the Virgin Media cable platform and on satellite at the end of 2007. The channel is jointly owned by Setanta Sports and Virgin Media, with the channel's programming produced by ITN.
