Orange will offer consumers a package consisting of its ‘Internet Everywhere' mobile broadband service and dongle and a laptop for £25 a month. The company is also offering special packages to small and medium business customers with three special packages in a bid to target flexible workers which it claims is becoming more important than ever for small businesses.
The move follows a raft of changes announced last month by new chief executive Tom Alexander and sees Orange team up with Asus and Hewlett-Packard (HP).
The company said it plans to evolve its offering over time to include fixed line broadband and an increased laptop range, available exclusively to the Orange brand.
Last week 3 also unveiled its plans to lure customers by bundling laptops with two-year broadband deals in a move similar to packages already offered by Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U. Vodafone is thought to be consdering similar moves.
