The event, held in Laxx in Switzerland from March 11 to 18, attracts boarders and skiers from all performance levels from amateurs to the GB World Cup team.
As part of its sponsorship, Orange is running a six-month campaign of activity leading up to the Brits, including the selection of Team Orange, which gives four amateur snowboarders the opportunity to turn professional for the season, coached by the UK's leading female freestyle snowboarder Jenny Jones.
Orange is using the event to promote a range of services and downloads on Orange World, including resort webcams, snow reports, snowboard games as well as a snowboarding masterclass from Jones.
In addition, Orange is introducing a new prize to the competition, The Orange Brightest Talent Award, which will go to the skier or snowboarder that a panel of judges considers to have the brighest future in the sport.
Darrell McLennan-Fordyce, head of sports and games brand marketing for Orange UK, said: "We have had three years to expand our content, develop new products and put together what we believe is the most compelling snowsports package available in the market."
Orange's involvement in the Brits is designed to complement its other sponsorship programmes in film, music, football and literature.
"This sponsorship works extremely well alongside our other properties by extending our brand awareness among a unique group of mobile phone users," McLennan-Fordyce added.
The Orange British Snowboard & Freestyle Ski Championships is the finale to the Orange AIM Series 2005, the official competition circuit guided by Snowsports GB.
Boarders and skiers will compete in four main events: boarder/skiercross; Slopestyle; Halfpipe; and Big Air -- a mixture of races, jumps, turns and tricks.
