Online presence for natural history film

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has launched a website to accompany its soon-to-debut natural history feature film, Earth.

LoveEarth.com will host messages from UK and international celebrities, including Buzz Aldrin and Patrick Stewart, around the film, which goes on air in the UK on 16 November, with written and audio postcards posted by celebrities detailing their views on Earth.

The site is supported by environmental organisations WWF and Earthwatch. Visitors will be able to watch tracking on Google Earth of this year's major wildlife migrations by polar bears, humpback whales and elephants featured in the film. The site also offers behind-the-scenes footage of the shooting of Earth, as well as updated editorial from natural history academics and filmmakers across the globe.
