Annalect, OMG’s analytics and technology division, serves the needs of Omnicom’s media networks OMD, PHD, and its recently-created third network Hearts and Sciences.
Hearts and Sciences was created following Procter & Gamble moving its $2.7 billion US media business from Publicis Groupe to Omnicom.
Scott Hagedorn, the former chief executive of Annalect, was appointed chief executive of Hearts and Sciences. Hagedorn was replaced by Slavi Samardzija as global chief executive of Annalect.
Ghazi is an Omnicom veteran, having worked in various digital roles in OMD and Rapp. He had been managing director of Arc, OMG's specialist partnership and investment team, since 2014. He was also previously at OMD UK for seven years, formerly as a business director and from 2012 as a client partner and board director. After a year-long stint at Rapp as the media development director he worked at BT for three years as a media strategy manager.
As EMEA chief executive of Annalect, Ghazi will jointly report to Samardzija and Colin Gottlieb, the EMEA chief executive of Omnicom Media Group. He will be responsible for leading all the company’s operations across the region and driving quality and consistency of the Annalect platform.
