Entitled 'Breaking out the Orthodoxies', Akabusi will take to the stage to talk about the need to think outside the box and consider unorthodox approaches to reach your goals, particularly when working in collaboration, on new ventures and around the globe.

Another session from someone outside of the industry will come from former professional poker player Casper Berry. His keynote will focus on the risks that events face, and will show why the industry's natural tendency to grow may lead it down the wrong path for the allocation of resources. He will also demonstrate how you can use your own natural risk aversion as a motivational tool to achieve better results.

Chaired by UBM's CEO Simon Foster, this year's event will also feature sessions from The Lowery Group chairman Will Whitehorn and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Whitehorn was once Virgin Galatic's vice president. He will talk about the challenges of taking a brand anywhere and discusses the power of events in relation to marketing, highlighting that the launch of one of commercial space flight was achieved by using an event as its platform to the world.

These sessions will be complemented by a talk on the impressive rise of UBM's EcoBuild show, and how the brand is set to launch in China.
