O'Keeffe/Angell to co-chair at Aerials

John O'Keeffe, the executive creative director of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, and Nick Angell, the managing director of Angell Sound, will co-chair at next year's Aerial Awards.

The Aerials, run by the Radio Advertising Bureau in association with ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, will retain the same format for the second year running. This year, the scheme switched to a joint chairmanship and to online voting by a panel of 100 judges, called the "Aerials 100", to decide the winners.

O'Keeffe's agency, BBH, was named Radio Agency of the Year at this year's Aerial Awards, while Angell was recognised with the Lifetime Achievement award.

The 2007 Aerials - the 11th annual awards - will be held next March. They will feature 12 categories, including Best ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, Agency and Client of the Year, and Best Casting. There will also be a Gold Award, which last year was presented to The Prostate Cancer Charity for an ad co-written by Ricky Gervais. The deadline for entries is 10 November, and more information is available at www.aerialsfoundation.co.uk.

Mark Barber, the planning director at the RAB, said: "John O'Keeffe's and Nick Angell's involvement reflects the high value the creative community places on winning an Aerial Award."

O'Keeffe said: "An award is an award, be it for radio, or any other medium, and awards change people's careers."
