Green will relocate from Octagon’s global headquarters in Connecticut in the US to London for the new role. He began his career at the company from university, most recently acting as senior creative strategist.
In his new position, Green will oversee the company’s end-to-end creative processes for brands such as MasterCard, SportsYapper and AIG, focusing on new business as well as current pitches. He will report into Joel Seymour-Hyde, vice president of strategy.
Seymour-Hyde said: "Josh has been with Octagon for six years, helping to develop award-winning creative programmes that leverage a wide variety of sports, entertainment and lifestyle platforms for clients like AB InBev, BMW, and Coca-Cola.
"We are looking for him to duplicate that effort here, while at the same time growing our team of planners and creatives around the world."
Also joining Octagon is Shea Warnes, who will take on the role of digital strategist. Warnes, who comes from media firm BHH London, will be responsible for delivering clients’ digital communication strategies.
Jeff Ehrenkranz, managing director EMEI at Octagon, added: "The two new appointments emphasise the focus and energy we’re putting into our growth proposition, specifically in the digital spectrum.
"Reinforcing our creative expertise and integrating Josh and Shea’s strengths into our arsenal, will help ensure that Octagon continues to help our clients harness consumer passion in new and innovative ways."
