Ocean Spray, the cranberry juice brand fronted by the Duchess of

York in the US, is searching for a creative agency on this side of the

Atlantic.

Gerber Foods, which was appointed Ocean Spray’s UK distributor this

year, has called the review. The Ocean Spray marketing manager, Rob

Spencer, has asked the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers to

help draw up a shortlist of contenders for the pounds 2 million

account.

A spokesman for Ocean Spray confirmed a review was under way, but was

unable to clarify whether it included media, which is handled by BBJ

Media Services. Spencer was not available for comment.

Under its previous UK distributors - the RHM soft drinks unit, Just

Juice - Ocean Spray was handled in this country by Delaney Fletcher

Bozell.

However, Delaney Fletcher has not been approached as part of the review,

and Tom Knox, the deputy managing director, said if asked, the agency

would not pitch. He declined to give his reasons.
