LONDON - Ocado has launched a value range called Everyday in a bid to compete with Tesco's Discount brands.

The 21-strong range comprises meat cuts, ready meals and dairy products which are priced cheaper than Waitrose own-brand products. Launch products include St Ivel Semi Skimmed Milk, Dovecote Park British Beef Mince and Kitchen Classics Sweet and Sour Chicken & Rice. Over the next few months the online grocer plans to add more products

In March Ocado vowed to match Tesco prices on 3,500 branded products to broaden its appeal to cash-strapped shoppers.
