O2 "Virtual Michael Bublé" by R/GA London

Ahead of Michael Bubl茅's gig at The O2 on 29 September, R/GA London created an augmented reality version of the Canadian singer for O2.

Using volumetric 3D capture technology, O2 staged a film shoot with Bublé to create a 3D video avatar of the star that gives a true representation of his actions. Fans can pose with his avatar via a choice of four unique experiences on the O2 app. The music star’s avatar either beckons you over, kisses you or proposes on one knee (with a twist), and can be pivoted, scaled and rotated depending on the surrounding environment, meaning everyone can get the perfect shot with Bublé for social media. It is the latest effort from O2 to bring new experiences to fans at venues through music and technology, and Bublé is one of the first to be filmed using volumetric technology.
