Mobile versions of puzzles will be available to download to O2 handsets, with the option of inviting friends to form a mini-puzzle league, enter competitions and win prizes.
Antony Douglas, head of games at O2, said: "With [Puzzler Media's] expert help we have broadened our popular mobile entertainment services to include a fun and intriguing selection of mobile puzzles that should speak to a wide audience amongst O2's 16m customers."
Puzzler Media said users would be able to access more than 1,000 puzzles from its archive, with new ones being added daily.
The Puzzler Portal, which is available via O2 Active, will offer downloadable puzzles costing 50p a time.
Neil O'Brien, Puzzler Media's business development manager, said: "The Puzzler Portal on O2 Active is the new go-to destination for mobile puzzles -- the puzzles are fun, easy to access and play, and provide hours of entertainment."
Puzzler Media, which produces such titles as Puzzler Sudoku and Puzzler Collection, was bought by Beano and Dandy publisher DC Thompson in an £85m deal in December.
The huge popularity of sudoku and kakuro has spawned a large cross-media puzzle market in the national press, online and in magazine sectors.
BBC Origin's Mind Games, which launched on June 6, is a title specifically aimed at puzzle and fact-finding enthusiasts.
