O2 appoints Future Plus to publish mag

LONDON - Mobile communications company O2 has appointed Future Plus, Future’s customer publishing arm, to publish its in-store magazine.

Publicis Blueprint was the other company shortlisted to produce the magazine, which will be distributed to O2's UK estate of more than 400 stores.

The outlets currently stock an in-house magazine, called O2, which carries promotional content and usually publishes from 52 to 56 pages.

The new magazine is part of a bid to strengthen the marketing around O2's retail stores.

Future Plus declined to comment on its appointment.
