Nuts promotes Seeburg to deputy editor

LONDON - Lads weekly Nuts has appointed a new deputy editor, Hans Seeburg, following the departure of Derek Harbinson to Dennis Publishing's Maxim magazine.

Seeburg worked on the launch of Nuts and was associate editor for news and sport until Harbinson decided to take the editor's chair at Maxim.

Phil Hilton, editor of Nuts, described his new deputy's importance to IPC's market-leading mens' title. He said: "Hans Seeberg is already an extraordinary editorial force on Nuts. He's a brilliant ideas man, an ever-vigilant page-crafter and a well-needed voice of sanity when an idea has gone too far."

Before joining the team, which launched Nuts in January 2004, Seeberg worked for a number of monthly magazines including Max Power, Car, Mixmag and F1 Magazine.

In the most recent set of ABCs published in February for the July to December period, Nuts circulation remained ahead with a 0.7% rise to 306,802 while Emap's Zoo was up 0.1% to 260,470.
