NSPCC launches service to let users make internet donations

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) has launched a web service that enables users to donate online.

Supporters of the charity who log on to the site (www.nspcc.org.uk/supporter) can view their donation history, change their personal details, set up a regular monthly donation through their bank account and change their existing donation agreement. They can also view and download the supporter newsletter and find out more about the NSPCC.

Users will be able to request information by email and receive an answer within a few days. There is also a service to download and print out statements for use in tax returns. Supporters are able to opt out of communications that they do not want to receive.

Tim Hunter, the NSPCC's deputy director of fundraising, said the service would make it easier for donors to control their relationship with the charity.
