The Japanese clothes maker has struck a five-year deal with Djokovic, which will involve the Serbian tennis star promoting the Uniqlo brand.

The deal will also involve Djokovic working on future product lines, as well as developing its functional wear.

Uniqlo has previously launched a Twitter-based campaign entitles "Sporttweet" to promote its summer sportswear.

Djokovic's tie-up with Uniqlo would appear to mean that his three-year deal with Sergio Tacchini has ended.

Uniqlo said that Djokovic will wear its brands at this year's French Open tennis championships.

Sergio Tacchini was unavailable for comment.
