Wade-Gery, who is also director of Tesco Personal Finance, will join the board on August 4.
Previously, she was group strategy direct at Tesco. Prior to joining Tesco in 1997, Wade-Gery held positions with Gemini Consulting and Kleinwort Benson.
Sir Ian Gibson, who was appointed Trinity Mirror chairman in April, said: "[Wade-Gery] brings a wealth of corporate experience from the UK's leading retailer and is known throughout that business as a real customer champion."
