Nokia to sponsor celebrity X Factor

Nokia has signed a multi-million pound deal to sponsor a celebrity X Factor and continue its backing for the original The X Factor on ITV.

The X Factor: Battle of the Stars, which is due to be shown in the next few weeks, will feature the panel of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh judging the singing talent of celebrities including Radio One DJ Chris Moyles. The third X-Factor series begins in the autumn.

The renewed sponsorship deal will include the use of ITV's recently extended break bumpers for the broadcast package on ITV1 and ITV2, plus an interactive TV offering and integrated ITV website. Nokia has full off-air rights around the shows and is planning a major through-the-line marketing campaign in support of the sponsorship.
