Nokia to lead Reuters' mobile ads push

LONDON - Reuters has hired Nokia's mobile media division to help it generate mobile advertising revenues.

The deal is the mobile phone giant's biggest contract win since stepping into the mobile ads market, through the acquisition of Enpocket last October.

The deal will see Nokia Ad Business – the sales team created after the Enpocket acquisition – sell ads on Reuters' mobile properties. Nokia Ad Business will also help develop branded sites for individual ad campaigns.

Nokia's sales effort will support the news agency's bid to generate revenue through its mobile offering.

Nokia Ad Business has landed a steady stream of new clients since buying Enpocket, with Land Rover being the latest advertiser to sign up.
