Nike unveils latest addition to Joga Bonito campaign

LONDON - Nike has launched a new television ad for the World Cup featuring the Brazil football team, which is part of the Eric Cantona-fronted 'Joga Bonito' campaign to encourage footballers all over the world to 'play beautiful'.

The 90-second spot called "team" is the fifth addition to a series of ads created by Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam -- the other four being called "joy", "honour", "heart" and "skill".

The ad is introduced by Eric Cantona from the studios of JogaTV, the fictional TV station created to spread the Joga Bonito message.

It provides a unique glimpse into the team spirit that makes current World Champions Brazil the favourite again this summer and reflects a typical Brazilian preparation for the match.

Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano, Robinho, Cicinho and Roberto Carlos are playing together in the coach, although it is on musical instruments this time.

Once in the changing rooms, they can not resist the urge to let their natural football skills express themselves as the team prepares.

Then, inspired by a communal prayer -- first introduced by the Brazil team as they prepared for their 2-0 victory over Germany in Japan in 2002 -- they head out into the stadium and the ad shows how Brazil's team spirit translates to inspirational performance on the pitch.

"Team" will premiere in the UK on Saturday April 15.
