LONDON (Brand Republic) – US sportswear giant Nike will pay golf star Tiger Woods up to $100m to promote its products for a further five years in a deal thought to be the largest of its kind.
Woods also gets additional cash for endorsing the company’s golf balls. The deal begins next year when the current agreement expires and runs until September 2006.
Nike refused to confirm the payment of $100m, but said Woods would see a substantial rise from his current $40m deal. (Reuters)
