Nike chiefs Gold and Olander shift to US in restructure

LONDON - Nike is embarking on a restructure of its global marketing operation that will see Jack Gold, head of brand communications for UK & Ireland, and Stefan Olander, European advertising director, relocate to its US division.

Nike confirmed Gold's departure and promotion to director of communications for the Americas region, but declined to confirm Olander's imminent departure.

Gold is due to take up the position in the next few months. Nike said his successor had yet to be appointed. Gold currently reports to UK marketing chief Benj Fearn.

In his new role, Gold will be based at Nike's global headquarters in Portland, Oregon. He will work with the firm's global ad agency, Wieden & Kennedy, overseeing creative development and ad executions across the Americas.

Gold joined Nike seven years ago as European advertising manager.
