Nickelodeon promotes iCarly internet-TV show

The broadcaster is investing in a mix of broadcast, cinema, print and online activity to raise awareness of the show, which features a group of teenagers who become famous due to their internet-TV series.

TV ads on CiTV, GMTV and Turner Broadcasting-owned channels will be supported by ads running in Vue cinemas across the UK during March and April.

Nickelodeon has also partnered with SwapItShop.co.uk to launch a branded microsite, where users can trade exclusive iCarly gifts and earn points by searching for special icons on the Nickelodeon website.

Rich-media banners, video clips and virtual characters from the show will run across the Virgin Media, AOL and Popcorn websites. This will coincide with A2-sized poster inserts in BBC Girl Talk, Go Girl, Mizz and BBC Top of the Pops magazine.

iCarly premiers on Nickelodeon on Monday 24 March. It will be broadcast at 10am and 5pm on weekdays.
