With cash-strapped marketing communications companies cutting budgets, Nabs is encouraging more people to give small amounts as well as relying on corporate donations.
The move forms part of a repositioning of Nabs, which Bampton will work on along with Lucy Owen, its chief executive. She said Bampton's appointment reflected Nabs' ongoing commitment to forge stronger links with media owners.
Bampton replaces the TBWA\London chief executive, Matt Shepherd-Smith, whose two-year tenure has ended.
