NEWS FOCUS: Recyling - Direct Response backs recycling initiative

Haymarket Business Publications, publishers of Direct Response, has become a media partner for the DMA's consumer awareness campaign, launched in October in association with international environment group Planet Ark.

The national campaign aims to help reduce the amount of direct mail waste by encouraging consumers to recycle the marketing materials they receive.

Haymarket has committed to running ads created by Archibald Ingall Stretton on behalf of Planet Ark and the DMA, across a number of its titles including Direct Response (see page 59).

Chris Pitchford, associate publisher of Direct Response, commented: "This campaign champions the DM industry as a highly responsible, respectable business environment and Haymarket Business Publications is delighted to be media partners of such an important initiative".
