Last year, Media Week revealed that Fox Interactive Media was to bring Rotten Tomatoes, a popular film website in the US, to the UK with content suitable for a British audience. The internet group officially launched last week.
Thelondonpaper will run a weekly Rotten Tomatoes round-up of new films and the site has established a co-marketing agreement with thesun.co.uk.
Rotten Tomatoes is a movie, DVD and video game review site offering users a "Tomatometer", which combines reviews of critics worldwide to decide whether a film is "Rotten" or "Fresh".
It will be the third Fox site to be localised for the UK market - the other two being MySpace and video-gaming website IGN.com. The company is also planning to bring men's website AskMen.com to the UK with localised content.
In February, Fox hired Chris Ellis, AOL Europe's senior vice-president for business development, as senior vice-president, commercial, to lead the commercial side of its European businesses.
