NEWS BRIEF: National Magazine Co closes customer publishing arm

The National Magazine Company is closing its customer publishing arm, NatMag Contract Publishing, with the loss of 15 jobs. This includes its two founders, Julian Downing and Carey Sedgwick, the former directors of Citrus Publishing. Clients that must look elsewhere include the Moss Bros Group, BAA, Waitrose and Samsung. NatMags managing director Duncan Edwards said the margins in customer publishing were not sufficient to justify further investment.
