Kerrang! digital radio station is joining Jazz FM in bidding for the West Midlands FM radio licence. Both are emphasising local music events - the Birmingham Jazz Festival, the biggest in Europe, and the Kerrang! Awards, which will move from London to Birmingham if it wins the licence.
