Puffin, the children's publisher owned by the Penguin Group, has
launched a web site to boost consumer interaction with its brand and
encourage young readers to contribute ideas.
Targeting children aged seven to 14, their parents and teachers, the
site features downloadable spoken word clips from books and lets users
submit reviews and read other visitors' submissions.
The site includes a parents' zone, education zone and a section on
authors. Other features include a range of educational games and
screensavers.
Kabel New Media, which won the business last October, handled design and
build of the site.
The agency has previously worked on the launch of the Peter Rabbit site
for Penguin-owned Frederick Warne, and online activity for the Roald
Dahl Foundation.
The new site can be found at www.puffin.co.uk.
