Handspring, the electronic organiser company, has appointed new media agency Hard Reality to carry out an online CRM push.

Handspring, whose rivals include Psion and Palm, hopes to boost loyalty and sales of peripherals such as its camera, memory, and phone modules.

The brief initially covers pan-European online activity in three languages, but will be expanded to five by the end of the year, with additional local campaigns.

Hard Reality will work alongside digital business consultancy PixelPark, which was appointed to work on the web brief in December.

European online activity will be overseen by Handspring's European marketing communications manager Martin Capel-Smith.

Hard Reality's parent agency, Leo Burnett, scooped Handspring's above-the-line work last May.
