Man About Town is Visual Talent's second title, following the launch two years ago of the bi-monthly style guide Wonderland. With a £5 cover price, 140,000 copies of Man About Town will be sold on news-stands in the UK and overseas.
Ten part-time staff, led by executive editor Lee Wallick, who also writes for The Guardian and Maxim, put the title together, along with designers Saturday London.
The 244-page magazine has already received considerable interest from high-end advertisers, including Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Cartier and Louis Vuitton.
The first edition will contain about 30 per cent advertising to 70 per cent editorial, but publisher Huw Gwyther believes advertising content will increase for the next edition.
"Wonderland is increasing sales issue on issue and we thought it was time to do something new," he said.
"Man About Town will appeal to affluent alpha males with money to spend. There is room in the market for this title to come in to reach this hard-to-target audience."
The first issue features an interview with actor Ryan Phillippe.
