New Christmas TV campaign for Ferrero Rocher

Ferrero Rocher attempts to update its infamous 'Ambassador's reception' ad for a contemporary audience in a £3.4m Christmas TV campaign breaking today (Wednesday). The ad, entitled 'Back door', is the first work to emerge from Publicis since it took over the account in September from Banks Hoggins O'Shea/FCB. It features a 30-something couple en route to a party armed with champagne and Ferrero Rocher. The woman can't help but eat the chocolates, so they can only offer the champagne on arrival. But as their host greets them they realise they are the only guests without a box of Ferrero Rocher - and are led out of the back door. The end line is 'What you give, you will receive'. Media is through Initiative Media.
