The exhibition will run from from 5-6 October 2013 and is organised by Dino Events. It hopes to attract 10,000 visitors.
It is billed as a lifestyle show for modern, active over 50s. The group has £175 billion in disposable income - a greater amount than any other age group according to organisers.
Dino Events was recently established by managing director Daniel Assor, who launched Jewish Living Expo to 10,000 visitors at Wembley Stadium last year.
Assor told Event: "People are getting healthier as they are getting older, and more and more people are working as they get older. We feel there needs to be a show to serve that community. There are some small shows targeting the market but nothing on this scale – we will become the de facto show for the over 50s, and have plans to expand into other regions in the next three years."
Young at Heart will take place in Alexandra Palace’s Great Hall. Eight themed zones will include travel, fashion and beauty, finance and legal, and health.
The show will be hosted by LBC radio presenter Nick Ferrari. A main stage will host catwalk shows, cookery demonstrations and other entertainment, alongside seminars taking place in theatres.
There will be a 1950s and 60s themed disco, arts and crafts activities and a technology area offering ‘how to’ advice on social media and gadgets.
