The investment bank JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management is talking
to agencies about a pan-European campaign designed to promote its range
of products across TV, print and poster media. It is also asking media
companies to pitch for the business.
It is looking for an agency network with a strong European presence, and
is believed to be running the pitch from Paris. TBWA, McCann-Erickson,
Citigate Albert Frank, Rapp Collins and DDB Paris are all thought to
have been approached.
The company, part of JP Morgan Chase, has already run a branding
campaign this year and is now seeking to promote its products.
The agency networks are this week receiving briefs from the bank with a
view to pitch in mid-August. A result is expected in late August, with
the campaign rolling out by September.
Local agencies may be called upon to help the appointed lead network,
which will run the account from either Paris or London. It is not known
what the pan-European account will be worth, but JP Morgan Fleming Asset
Management spends about pounds 2 million on advertising each year in the
UK.
Citigate Albert Frank already handles work for the company. CIA and
MediaCom handle all media buying in the UK.
