Nestle enjoys fastest sales growth in a decade

Nestle, the world鈥檚 largest food company, increased its sales growth by 5% in the last three months of 2000 and enjoyed its fastest growth rate in more than a decade.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Nestle, the world鈥檚 largest food company, increased its sales growth by 5% in the last three months of 2000 and enjoyed its fastest growth rate in more than a decade.

Last year Nestle increased sales 9.1% to SFR81.4bn (£33.4bn), the equivalent of a 4.4% rate in growth, breaking its own target of 4% for the first time. The increase in growth has been helped by expansion into products including bottled water, pet food and ice cream.
