Natmags' Mansfield takes to a tractor for Country Living drive

Media agencies were baffled last Friday by the appearance on their

doorsteps of Natmags managing director Terry Mansfield, posing as a

bridegroom, accompanied by a blushing bride from Country Living

magazine.

Surpassing his own high standards of sartorial elegance, Mansfield

donned full morning suit attire and exchanged his usual Mercedes for a

Massey Ferguson tractor to tour Soho medialand promoting Country

Living's 'Farmer wants a wife' campaign.

The shameless performance was designed to win publicity for the

campaign, which seeks to match lonely farmers with prospective

brides.

The promotion has so far resulted in four marriages and two babies.

An eight-part documentary series covering the magazine's matchmaking

efforts is due to commence on 8 November on ITV.
