NatMags in hunt for leader to push online strategy

LONDON - The National Magazine Company has launched a search for a managing director for digital publishing, a new role needed to drive its online products strategy.

The company has engaged recruitment consultant Whitehead Mann to handle the search and expects to make an appointment in late summer.

NatMags is planning to launch websites for Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and Country Living this summer, and another crop in the autumn. It has already launched and , and acquired .

Duncan Edwards, chief executive of NatMags, said: "We now need a senior manager to drive this new business forward, to realise our commercial objectives and to set the digital agenda for the group."

Last month, NatMags appointed Niall Hogan as its digital advertisement director. Hogan was previously the sales director at Emap Interactive.
