National Lottery launches new scratchcard game

The National Lottery this week launched its pounds 2-per-play,

pounds 1m jackpot Millionaire scratchcard game with a national TV and

radio ad blitz narrated by former Doctor Who actor Tom Baker. The TV ads

will run until the end of the month on ITV, C4, C5 and satellite

channels. They feature five black-clad men and women who approach a

machine filled with a whirling storm of tickets and open their

briefcases, revealing the five winning cards. Each places theirs in the

machine, before its contents are packed into vans to be scattered across

the country. A classical score plays in the background as Baker says,

"The National Lottery Instant Millionaire Game. They're somewhere out

there now." Creative was by WCRS, with media by Media Planning Group.
